It's getting cold. He sits on the platform with caked mud on an
ice-flecked
coat... shivering. But, it's not the cold that's rippling his hide
and making him whine. It's the mallards... the brilliant flock aglow
in the low sun as they sink to the calls of men (and women) and the
guns... and HIM. Beyond his muzzle, beyond the decoys, a greenhead
floats calmly amidst feathers and broken ice.........
.......And when the season ends, the Middle Tennessee Amateur
Retriever Club will be gearing up for their Spring Field Trial and
Hunt Tests. Join us, a group of/for hunters and retriever enthusiasts
involved in the sport of retriever field training here in Nashville,
Tennessee!
